Understanding Your Results

THE "LIVE SPEEDOMETER"

The OPS/SEC counter is a live measurement of your CPU speed. It is not a preset; it fluctuates based on your CPU's current clock speed and available resources.

STABILITY IS KEY

A healthy PC maintains a steady OPS/SEC. If this number drops significantly during the test, your hardware is likely slowing down to prevent overheating.

Why did my temp drop at 100%?

If your temperature peaked and then decreased while load stayed at 100%, your cooling is "winning":

  • Active Cooling: Fans reached their max RPM trigger and pulled the temperature back down.
  • V-Drop: CPU lowered voltage slightly to stay within power limits ($TDP$), often resulting in lower heat.

Is Your PC Overheating Under Pressure?

When you are rendering a 4K video, running a complex spreadsheet, or playing a demanding game, your Central Processing Unit (CPU) generates a massive amount of heat. If your cooling system can't keep up, your computer will aggressively slow itself down to survive. Our browser-based Thermal Stress Lab safely pushes your processor to 100% utilization, allowing you to monitor how your cooling hardware reacts under maximum load.

Diagnose Thermal Throttling

Modern CPUs are incredibly smart. When they reach dangerous temperatures (usually around 95°C), they implement a self-preservation tactic called Thermal Throttling. The chip intentionally slashes its own clock speed to reduce heat output, which instantly tanks your PC's performance. By watching the live OPS/SEC graph in our lab, you can see this happen in real-time. If your operations-per-second start high and suddenly drop off a cliff, your PC is thermal throttling.

Verify Your Cooling Setup

Whether you just built a brand-new gaming rig, upgraded to an AIO liquid cooler, or are trying to figure out why your 4-year-old laptop is suddenly so loud, a stress test is the best way to verify your thermal integrity. Running this test helps you confirm that your fans are ramping up correctly, your thermal paste hasn't dried out, and your heatsink is mounted with proper pressure.

Why Use Our Browser-Based Stress Test?

Safe, Installation-Free

Don't download shady third-party executable files just to test your hardware. Our tool uses standard HTML5 Web Workers to generate a safe, logical mathematical load directly through your browser.

Real-Time Throttling Detection

Our intelligent graphing engine establishes a performance baseline in the first few seconds. If it detects a sudden drop of 30% or more in mathematical throughput, it will automatically alert you to potential throttling.

Multi-Core Utilization

The lab automatically detects your processor's logical core count (up to your browser's security limit) and spins up an independent mathematical workload for every single thread.

Experiencing PC Crashes or Loud Fans?

If our stress test reveals thermal throttling or causes your PC to shut down unexpectedly, you likely need a hardware service. Our technicians specialize in deep cleaning, re-pasting CPUs, and upgrading inadequate cooling systems.
