Face ID stopped working after drop

I dropped it on the carpet and now Face ID says "Move iPhone a little lower". Is this a hardware issue?

Yes, the TrueDepth camera system is extremely fragile. Dropping it usually breaks the dot projector. It requires microsoldering to repair.
