Terms of Service & Disclaimer

NO LIABILITY FOR DELETED DATA: Spam Sorter is a powerful bulk-processing tool. By using this service, you explicitly agree that we are in no way responsible for any accidental deletion, loss of data, or modifications made to your email account.

1. User Responsibility

It is your sole responsibility to review the emails selected on your dashboard before clicking "Move to Trash" or "Trash & Block". You acknowledge that the software relies on automated matching algorithms which may occasionally flag legitimate emails as potential spam.

2. How Deletion Works

When you delete an email using Spam Sorter, the application executes a standard IMAP move command to transfer the email to your server's Trash folder. We do not permanently expunge or destroy emails. However, if your email provider automatically empties your Trash folder, those emails will be permanently lost. It is your responsibility to recover accidentally deleted emails from your Trash folder in a timely manner.

3. Service "As Is"

This application is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. In no event shall the developers or operators be held liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from your use of the service.

Privacy Policy (GDPR Compliance)

We take your privacy incredibly seriously. Because our application acts as a direct interface to your personal or business email server, we have architected the system to store the absolute minimum amount of data required to function.

1. What We DO NOT Store

Email Bodies: We never download, store, read, or process the contents of your emails.
Email Subjects: Email subjects are fetched in real-time to display in your browser and are immediately discarded.
Email Attachments: We never fetch or store attachments.

2. What We DO Store

To provide this service, we must store the following in our secure database:

Connection Details: Your IMAP hostname, port, and email address.
Encrypted Email Credentials: Your IMAP password is secured using military-grade AES-256-CBC cryptography. This robust encryption ensures that your raw password cannot be decrypted, viewed, or accessed by anyone—not hackers, not third parties, and not even our own operators.
Web Login Credentials: Your web login password is irreversibly cryptographically hashed. It is mathematically impossible for anyone (including us) to decrypt, view, or reverse-engineer your web password under any circumstances.
Lists: The specific email addresses you manually choose to add to your Whitelist or Blacklist.

3. Data Deletion & Revocation of Access

Under the GDPR, you have the right to be forgotten. You may contact us at any time to have your account and all associated data permanently deleted from our database.

Furthermore, because we connect to your server dynamically, you can instantly revoke our access at any time simply by changing your email password with your email provider. The moment your password changes, our encrypted record becomes invalid, and Spam Sorter will immediately lose all access to your mailbox.
